Our Beginning.....The Young New Zealanders Foundation came into being in 1997 as the Safer Streets Trust. It was established by Police officers to raise funds to extend health and safety programmes for young people throughout our country. The demands were such that the Trust soon grew beyond its Police setting and expanded to meet a wide range of young people's needs. Ten Years Later .....The Foundation is now independent and active on a number of fronts. Our Services Overview gives brief details of education resources and safety materials we make available to help young people prepare for a successful life in our community.
